Pentwyn House Nursing HomeWe encourage residents to continue to enjoy a wide range of individual and group activities as possible, both inside and outside the home, to carry on with existing hobbies, pursuits and relationships and to develop new ones.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms with furniture, furnishings and personal possessions in order to make them feel at home. Out activity organiser has developed a programme such as music & movement, keep fit, games, quizzes, bingo, outings and seasonal parties.

We also have regular entertainers visiting the home, which are very popular.

Children from local schools regularly provide musical entertainment particularly at Easter and Christmas.

Residents are given every possible help to maintain the links they wish to retain with their friends and family outside the home, but can choose to see who they wish, when and where.

If a resident wishes, friends and relatives are welcome to visit any time convenient to the resident and become involved in daily routines and activities. A quiet lounge is available where residents may entertain visitors privately and we will always offer refreshments as a matter of courtesy.

We also have video conferencing facilities to enable residents to visually see relatives and friends and have two way conversations
