Pentwyn House Nursing Home provides accommodation for 43 residents, on two floors, in single, companion rooms or en-suite rooms, all of which comply with the regulatory requirements and offer every comfort, and are tastefully decorated.

Rooms and Facilities

Each room has a wash hand basin and is finished to a high standard. Companion rooms have bed-curtains to ensure privacy for each resident. Five of our rooms have en-suite facilities.
Residents are encouraged to bring in small items of furniture, ornaments, pictures etc to help them feel at home. TV points are installed in each bedroom and telephone points can be installed at the residents own expense.
At Pentwyn, we have attractive, well furnished, comfortable lounges, some with French windows leading onto a sunny south facing patio with pleasant gardens on the ground floor.
A large well furnished dining room is also on the ground floor for the residents’ use – while we encourage residents to eat there for therapeutic reasons, those who do not wish to eat there are given freedom of choice.

Nurse Call System

The Nurse Call System is linked to all rooms (including bathrooms and toilets), is installed and monitored regularly to ensure residents do not experience unnecessary delays when requiring assistance.
Bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets have handrails fitted and are all designed with the frail and elderly in mind.
